Why we care about sneaker care

A lot of us love shoes and in our lifetime consumers around the world buy an estimated 14.5 billion to 19 billion pairs of shoes per year - roughly equal to two pairs per person on the planet. The question we need to ask ourselves is what are we doing with our dirty sneakers?

About 90% of shoes still end up in landfills. On average, sneakers that end up in landfills aren’t damaged and only “dirty” therefore deemed “unwearable”. So in hopes of these small actions of up-keeping your sneakers by cleaning and protecting your shoes, it will last longer. Creating longevity to either keep, sell or pass down instead of disposing of.
